The Fitzwilliam was inaugurated 19 years ago and is famous for its wonderful Irish hospitality in a contemporary setting. Originally designed by Sir Terence Conran, The Fitzwilliam features an elegant, tasteful and chic design, using Paul Smith fabrics to accent a vibrant color palette. All 139 rooms boast great views of the hotel’s restful courtyard garden or Dublin’s key landmark, St. Stephen’s Green. My favorites are the 5th floor deluxe premium rooms with terraces overlooking St. Stephen’s Green. Beds are incredibly inviting with soft Egyptian cotton sheets as well as duck down duvets and pillows.
The Fitzwilliam places a great deal of emphasis on its food and beverage offering and in 2018 opened one of Dublin’s most eagerly awaited new restaurants - Glovers Alley by Andrew McFadden. Above all however, what makes The Fitzwilliam special is the warm, unstuffy Irish hospitality it provides. The service at the hotel is very correct but never formal or distant. The management really look after our guests, always taking care to personalize amenities and services with compliments of you, the travel advisor.
